Welcome to the Sunbury Region Grapegrowers Association.
20 Vineyards are productive in the Sunbury Wine Region,
one of Victoria’s oldest wine regions. Just beyond Melbourne Airport,
it has produced wine since the 1860’s. Historically the principal grape variety is shiraz:
but currently chardonnay, riesling, semillon, traminer, pinot noir, cabernet sauvignon,
and some Italian varietals have been planted.
They can all be tasted at the Sunbury Regional Wine Tasting (last Saturday in August).
Wines are distributed to Melbourne, regional Victoria, interstate and internationally.
